🌷 Free Mindfulness Workout

You might have noticed I have been very quiet online over the last couple of days! I went to a lovely weekend retreat at the Wangapeka and I can greatly recommend this to you. I will definitely be going back too!
It has helped me to refresh my knowledge and to relax. And we have been doing lots of mindful breathing and tuning into the body.

Something we often forget is that mindfulness does not have to be an effort, it is something we can do every time and everywhere. And we can always start again. Noticing that we have been mindlessly busy, running around lately, is not failure. As when we notice this, it is instead a great achievement!

So this week, whenever you have a moment of pausing, waiting, walking, try to tune into your breathing. Just following your breathing for a few breaths, to pause, relax and to take a break. If you think there will be not time for it, or if you worry you will forget: set a timer for a few times a day to remind yourself, or hang some sticky notes around.

Have a great week, take a breather,
Monique

Crochet and meditation

Crochet, just as colouring and zendoodlen can be meditation too. And I happen to love it all!

Here’s something I made for a project to spread mental health awareness, after a lovely young woman was taken by depression. She was Dutch, like me and she had an amazing crochet blog.

There’s also some information about crochet and meditation. You can see it all here:
