Learn to crochet for relaxation starts 6 June, 7-9 pm Tawa Wellington.
![]() Kia ora!
Last week before the long Easter weekend!!
Hope this means that you get some time for you! By now you will know that I’m a big fan of Creative Mindfulness.
Mindfulness is meditation too, but often thiscan be really hard, especially for busy people!! Being creative can be a great alternative.
Making something, gives your busy mind something to focus on. That can break the cycle of busy thinking about lots of things that only make you feel more stressed. So, this week, come up with things that you could be making when you take the t
ime. And go for it!
Even looking for inspiration, can be relaxing!
Have a good week!

Upcoming: Colouring and Zendoodle at the Tawa Community Centre 10-12.
Morena lovely people!
Last workout for 2017 already!! Taking a little break and back in 2018!!
So this week take some time to reflect on the past year, how have you been this year? What are you happy with, what have you enjoyed, what have been special moments for you, what are you grateful for? Doesn’t have to be big things, little things count too!!
All the best for now, happy holidays and see you soon!

FREE weekly mindfulness
Hello and happy Monday!!
Last week I noticed something interesting. Well I found it interesting! 🙂
I was surprised by a probably impulsive and judgemental comment on a post. And the reason it surprised me, is that I hardly ever read comments like this.
The good thing is that I must be surrounded by loving and kind people on Facebook that always leave me positive and kind comments!! So that also made this comment stand out more.
It also got me thinking that being kind, nice, accepting, positive, complimenting is a habit. And if we all train ourselves to have this habit, the negativism will only stand out more, and can be ignored more easily.
So this week make an effort to be aware of your kindness, and thankful of kindness of others.
Have a great week,
aroha nui,
M
My Wednesday evening “learn to crochet for calmness” class finished last Wednesday and I’m super proud of my students!! I’m also super grateful for the awesome feedback they gave me on the course 💜 Thank you!!!
We had a great morning full of colouring and zendoodle yesterday in the Tawa Community Centre and lots of people came to chill and chat!!
FREE WORKOUT STARTS HERE:
If you want to start practicing mindfulness, so you feel better, are more relaxed and worry less, you have to make it easy for yourself. And the easiest way is to take an activity that you are doing already, and make that a mindfulness exercise. So doing what you are doing anyway, just now doing it mindfully.
This can be brushing your teeth, rinsing your shampoo, emptying the dishwasher, having your morning cuppa, walking home from the station, or hanging the laundry outside. The last one is my favorite!!
Make it mindful by bringing your full attention to your senses in the here and now. What can you see, feel, hear, touch, smell right here, right now while you are doing what you are doing. Doestn’t have to take more than a few minutes!!
You will notice you get easily distracted by anything that pops up in your mind, and that doesn’t matter at all. Actually, that is super normal to happen!
Just notice you get distracted, and kindly bring your attention back to the activity you were doing mindfully.
Go on, try it this week!
Have a great week!
